A dark brown Andalusian stallion on the run, completely stretching out in full gallop. Have you ever seen a more beautiful breed of horse? I'm still hoping that I'll own one someday...
The other day I was watching some internetsites on Andalusians and I was in heaven. Some were actually for sale (though not in my budget!) and had videos of them. I believe I couldnt wipe that smile of my face the entire time. What amazing animals. In one movie the stallion was walking free, no bridle or anything, and he was performing the spanish walk with a guy that walked besides him... I might have cried... I can definetely get all emotional when I see them move. Is that pathetic?

Colored pencils, done in 5 and a half hours (pausing now and then, I do have to eat and drink)

There is a tutorial with this drawing as an example in my gallery and on :iconfascination-horse:.

Thanks! Well, they arent that rare actually, just expensive! Most of them live in Spain and Portugal were they are the national breed and very proud of it. They are loved for their exquisite dressage qualities and great character. And offcourse their amazing beauty!
They are becoming more and more popular in Europe and USA and breeders are popping up everywhere. They are very popular in Germany right now and lots of European horse dealers are trucking them out of Spain to anywhere in Europe or fly them to the USA.

Thank you! I noticed I dont draw horses unless they are this shiny, probably because they look so beautiful when they do. But that is a bit discriminating on non-shiny horses....
